LEADERSHIP AND THE LAW OF ATTRACTION

Good day and I hope you are having a great day.  Recently I was in a leadership course that focused on many aspects of influencing people not necessarily from a position of authority, but within groups of similar position colleagues.  As we discussed the techniques and principles of leadership I was pleasantly surprised to see how much of the  modern leadership principals utilize the principles of The Law of Attraction (LOA), which inspired this week’s post.

Perhaps the most important thing I learned in this course, was the fact that leadership is different depending on the “readiness level” of the people you are trying to influence.  You lead people who have never done a task differently than people who are advanced in their skill levels.  From the LOA standpoint it is similar to vibrational levels of where you are in comparison to those you are trying to influence.  Let me give you the example of my mother that I have used before.  My mother suffered from blindness 2 months before I got married.  It was a bizarre and rare situation that had her own immune system attack the optic nerve but there was nothing wrong with the eye itself.  This was very early on in my journey with the Law of Attraction. Being very excited and enthusiastic I kept on trying to “make” my mother believe that she could heal herself using visualization and principles of LOA, but I had little effect on her.  She was a nurse for 30 years, and very much set in her own ways.  When I discuss this with people who are trying to help loved ones understand and use the principles of LOA, I equate this to being on the balcony of the 50th floor of a building and trying to scream down to the person who is on the 1st floor.  It jus will not happen. We are vibrationally on different levels. Only 2 things can happen. Either they have to come up or we have to go down.  Using the wrong leadership style without considering the level of the people we want to influence is frustrating and rarely successful.  From The LOA perspective, I as the practitioner have to decide if I want to come to the lower vibration (more negative) in order to bring the person up to the level where we can discuss it? There is no easy answer to this. It is a personal choice, taking into consideration that whatever we concentrate on is what we attract to ourselves.

Concentration on negativity will only bring more opportunities for negativity to come to us. If this concept is difficult for you to grasp, you need to read some of the basic posts that I have highlighted on the lower right side of this blog’s main page where the dates are:  entitled “some basic posts for new readers”.  In leadership you can change your style to meet the readiness level of  those you are trying to influence but, be aware of the LOA aspect as well and make sure that in your style you are not moving yourself to the negative vibration.

Another concept that was stressed by experienced leaders was the concept of “celebrating your wins”.  This is really near and dear to the foundation of LOA.  As I mentioned before we will manifest what we concentrate on. This is law.  It is not what I think, or you think.  It is a Universal Law as accurate as mathematics or physics.  Our leadership panel mentioned that even in times of challenges you need to make sure you and your team keep things in perspective and celebrate your wins.  This is a no brainer, but by all means not an easy task to do.  Let’s look at it from the LOA perspective.  When you are concentrating on the wins, you are sending the message to the Universe that you want more opportunities to celebrate wins.  By law you will attract more opportunities to win, and sooner rather than later you will be overcoming the challenges.

Another concept that we discussed was setting the vision, letting your team know it clearly, and then getting out of their way and supporting them.  This is so key to anything you are working on.  Having a focused and shared vision where everyone is clear on where we are and where we are going is a must. As many teachers of LOA mention, you cannot reach your destination if you have no idea where you are and where you are going.  Supporting your team and getting out of their way is also key, as in The LOA the “how” is not your job.  When I say the how is not your job, I do not mean you do not make plans and take action.  Remember that as opportunities will come to you, you do need to take actions. Just don’t be so stuck on the plan that you cannot take feedback and adjust course. Set the focus with your visualization,  feel the way you would feel when the goal is achieved, and with all your senses know that it is done.  Clarity is the another foundation of success in leadership as well as in using The LOA.  Make sure not to mistake, allowing for lack of action. Action is very important and if you are confused by this, again take a look at many of the earlier posts on this site.

Lastly I wanted to make sure to point out that leaders know that there will be challenges and obstacles.  Challenges are how leaders are made. People who overcome adversity in a productive manner are the ones who stand out and become leaders.  From LOA point of view you have heard me say there is no failure.  When something you have been visualizing and concentrating towards, cleared your resistances on, and have total belief that will happen, does not go your way there are 2 reasons. One, is that something much better is coming your way and the Universe is covering you, as you concentrate on the end results only and not the how. The second reason is that what you are concentrating on is NOT in your best interest, and again the Source is protecting you.  You have to have faith and belief that this law works with exact precision without exception.  It is always looking out for your best interest and when you try to force the issue you will usually do yourself more harm than good in the long run.

I found this course really productive and practical and I am very happy that I could relate it for  you in this blog post to cover the concepts and the background from The LOA perspective.  Please feel free to share this with anyone who can benefit and as always I look forwards to hearing from you on my Facebook page and Twitter feed. Till next week, to your continued success.
