USE OF VISUALIZATION IN GOAL PLANNING

Good day.  Today I want to discuss one tool for improving the success you can achieve in setting goals.  The use of visualization has been taught by many of the teachers of The Law of Attraction.  What I have noticed is that in addition to those teachers many successful businessmen and inventors use visualization in their planning.
When you visualize a goal to the extent where you go through every piece and every action step to achieve that goal, i.e.  where you can feel it, hear it, smell it, touch it, taste it, you go through the process of trial and error in your mind and most of the time it brings opportunities for you to learn if something is not correct with your planning before you actually put those steps into action and thereby preventing many unnecessary mistakes, errors and waste of time. When you completely visualize your goals and you start seeing their accomplishments,  information comes to you to help you take the next steps and in many cases refine your goals and your planning. That saves hours if not years in the time it takes to accomplishment  your goals.
What most people do is go by default. That entails trying to do something, making a mistake, going back trying to fix it, making a mistake, going back trying to fix it. Because you are only looking at the reality of the thing and then you are making correction based on those realities. That is the backward way of doing things. In most cases if you get clear on what you want and visualize it to the extent where the next logical step is the manifestation of your goals you save allot of time and allot of effort as well as substantial amount of money in achieving your success and you actually achieve your goals faster.
This is not to say that you only visualize. You cannot just sit and visualize and hope for things to happen. What I am discussing here is clear planning. There is a fine line between clarifying your plans and procrastination. Don’t fall into the pitfall of analysis paralysis. Many dreams have gone unrealized because the planner just planed and planed and there was no action to back up those plans.
There are times where no matter how clear you are on your goals you will make mistakes. Those are the times where you need to learn something by doing. You need to get prepared for the success that comes to you. How many times have you heard of someone wining a large amount of money and then 3 years later they were worse off than they started? That is because the person was not prepared for success. They did not have the financial education that it takes to hold on to wealth and prosper.
You get clear on your goals. You set action plans and rehearse them in your visualization to the extent that you cover every detail of those goals then TAKE ACTION and be prepared to re-evaluate the results.
You will see that this method will be much more fruitful than trial and error alone.
I wish you much success and as always feel free to share this with anyone who may benefit from them.

PROSPERITY CONSCIOUSNESS: How to allow receiving

Good day and I hope you are having a good week.
Today I wanted to discuss a topic that is not usually focused on when one speaks of success, but remains at the core of your ability to reach success and happiness specially financially.
When people are first introduced to the concepts and teachings of The Law of Attraction (LOA) they learn that they have to follow 3 basic steps as a general rule:
1)      They ask.
2)      The source responds.
3)      They have to be open to receive.
I have previously discussed that this in no way  means that you ask and you sit on your butt and then things just fall into your lap.

Action is required on opportunities that come your way. That is not the topic of this discussion. The point I want to address in this blog is the last of the three steps, the ability to receive.
Part of the ability to receive lies in the fact that you have to believe you will receive and then get out of the way and eliminate the resistance. The question I usually hear is how to do you go about “believing” you will receive. I have also covered the topic of faith in another post, but there is one way that will help immensely in opening yourself to receiving.
LOA AND RELIGION POST

You have undoubtedly heard teachers of The Law of Attraction say that you have to “behave as though you have already achieved what you want”. This statement filled me with much confusion when I first started my study of LOA. Having been raised by fiscally responsible parents, it really went against all my logics to spend the money I did not have. THAT IS NOT WHAT IS MEANT BY “behave as though you have achieved your desire”. Let me be perfectly clear here: The Law of Attraction does not say go ahead and rack up a bunch of debt and everything will be hunky dory. Nothing could be further from the truth.  That statement is designed to get to the core of the way you think.
How many times during the week have you deprived yourself of something you can have and can afford because it cost a little more? Perhaps you wanted a large drink but went for the medium instead. How often have you achieved a great goal and instead of rewarding yourself with something you wanted, you settled or worse yet did nothing? How often when you eat out and the bill comes you have opted to tip only 10% instead of 15-20% even though the service was great? How often when you see someone or organization soliciting for money or doing fund raisers in front of a store or at the side of the street you thought about giving some change, but then immediately vetoed your thoughts and came up with justifications like” why don’t they get a job”, or “is this a legitimate organization etc.”? I know I have done all of the above many times over and still do them today if I am not careful and thinking about the core signal I am sending.  What is the signal you are sending to the universe? Think about it. You have heard here, and other teachers repeatedly say that when you concentrate on scarcity you CANNOT ACHIEVE SUCCESS in anything because the Source will only return to you what you feel and concentrate on the most.
Believing in what you want and acting as though you have what you want means that when you want something, AND YOU CAN AFFORD IT, and the product is available to you, then you go ahead and buy it. That is it. Sounds simple doesn’t it? But  it is not. You have to do it willingly. The first few times you do this there will be a nagging feeling in your stomach. You have to scream “STOP” and work on changing that feeling. The next time you see someone who is begging or raising money for the poor, give and give with joy and see how that makes you feel? Give because YOU CAN give? Give because you are fortunate to be able to give? Who cares if that person is not poor, or it is a scam or whatever else comes to your mind? You are giving from your heart, and that is where you want to go from the emotional point of view. You are giving because it brings you joy and happiness to be able to help someone. Don’t concentrate on what is bad in the world. You will bring that crap into your life when you do.
Treat yourself when you achieve your goals, and treat yourself often. Set small stepping stones to your goals along the way and treat yourself frequently to keep the encouragement, and positivity going. The next time you want something that you have been setting aside for a while go ahead and get it for yourself. When you treat yourself with respect and love, you are treating yourself like a millionaire. When you see something you want and you get it you are sending the vibration that says, “I can have what I want.” That is what is meant by “believe what you want now”. Again I caution you not to go into debt on this. If you can’t afford a hot coffee, it is not time to go out there an buy an i-Pad. Work on your visualizations, and take action on opportunities that will help you get the coffee first and then step by step you will be in a position to get the i-Pad. Baby step your way up the ladder and start to feel good when you treat yourself well because you deserve it. Continue with visualizing your goals no matter where you are. See those goals and feel the feeling that you would have when you achieve them. Use the little feelings of joy when you reward yourself as bench marks and see, feel, and hear what a great feeling it would be to achieve your bigger goals.
If this is new to you, I encourage you to go to the links on the lower right hand corner and read about what is The Law of attraction and how to use it. I think you will find it valuable.
I hope this post helps and as always please feel free to pass this along to whomever you think may benefit from this.
To your success.

WHAT IS YOUR SELF-IMAGE

Good day and  happy Valentine's day. I hope you are having a good week. Today’s post is about what I consider to be the foundation of success in anything you can think of. Your self-image will dictate how far you can go in life.
Do you sometimes find yourself critical of making mistakes to the point of insulting yourself?  If you are like me, comments like “how could I have been that stupid?”, or “what was I thinking?” or even “what an idiot”, are usual occurrences when it comes to making a mistake.  Mistakes are part of growth.  I would not imagine saying those words to anyone who made a mistake no matter how bad that error was, so why do I say that to myself?  I have never been able to come up with a satisfactory answer besides the fact that I have a higher expectation of myself or that I can take it when the same response to another person would not be appropriate from anyone, let alone an educator.  Perhaps you can relate?
That is called self-talk and no matter how I sugar coat it, this self-talk is shaping my internal self-image.  My self-image is the key to how I think, what my behavior is and more important what kind of internal and hidden resistance I create. Do I see myself as successful, healthy, prosperous and happy person, or is it someone that always makes mistakes, stupid or not good enough for anything? How do I see mistakes? Do I see them as problems, or do I see them as challenges to be over come all has to do with my self-image. I am for the most part a positive person.   I am educated, successful, blessed and happy, and yet the simple fact that if I don’t treat myself with respect I can’t expect any success to come my way escapes me in the times of emotional challenges. I asked myself, if someone who treated you the way you treat yourself, by criticizing, calling you names, breaking promises to you the way you break promises to yourself, would stay friends with them? Why do you allow yourself to treat YOU THIS BAD THEN?
Weather one is looking at this from a theological or metaphysical point of view the answer is the same.  Theology tells us “… we are created in the image of the creator”.  Metaphysical point of view points to one source of energy and we are part of that same perfect energy that encompasses everything.  Either way we are PERFECT.  We may not always ACT perfectly, but at our core we are perfect.
Somehow as we age, we become critical of this perfection.  Usually we are not even aware of it.  I can’t put my finger on the exact time when I first told myself “I was stupid”. My parents and teachers were always supportive.  I was always a high achiever and I suppose I got lost in the expectation of the society that if you’re not winning then you must be losing. Again perhaps you can relate.
Let me digress a little with an example. Did you know that today most if not all airplanes fly by automatic pilot during 99% of the journey? On top of that did you know that during 90% of that flight the plane is making constant course corrections based on data received via radar and satellite?  So in essence 90% of the time the plane is making mistakes and still manages to make it to the destination. In fact it is because of these mistakes that the plane can make it to its destination. Think about that the next time you make a mistake and STOP the negative self-imagery.
If you call yourself “stupid” you cannot become the wealthy, successful, loveable person that is your perfection no matter how much you visualize and no matter what technology you use.  Especially if this self-image is so internal and well established that you were not even aware of it until you read this blog. Imagine if a child, perhaps your own, came to you and said “mommy/ daddy, I am so stupid”.  That is the type of feeling I want to have you reach for when you say things like that to yourself.  Repeat out loud now: “I am a perfect person in every way”.
That is a fact just like any laws of physics or the Law of Attraction.  Treat yourself like a lovable child the next time you make a mistake and start to change your self-image to one of “perfect in every way”.  You make mistakes because you are constantly reaching for new experiences and new desires and you learn and expand your horizon.   A positive self-image is the foundation needed to help you use the law of attraction to bring about everything you desire. Otherwise you are driving down the road in a sports car with the hand brake on, or an anchor chained to your rear bumper, wondering why the dude on a bicycle is passing you by.
Recall that the law of attraction brings to you opportunities to manifest what you BELIEVE IN. Beliefs are subconscious.  Your self-image is subconscious.  If your self-image says that you are a looser, how can you succeed? Is this making sense? You have to see the root of this to start making the change.  I am not trying to blow sunshine up your behinds.  This is not about patting each other on the back and feel good. This is the foundation of what you have to do to succeed which is what this blog is all about. When you succeed you don’t need me or anyone to pat you on the back because you will have the sense of achievement and more importantly the belief that you have done it and that will just bring more and more success for you because you have proven it to yourself that it works. It all starts by treating yourself like a child whose confidence you are shaping now. You can break that child down and tear him apart or you can teach him that he can learn from mistakes and get better and succeed. It is up to you. Do you want to be the abused kid that the system blames for being bad, or do you want to be the proud mentor of the next Nobel laurite? In either case you have the power and the responsibility is yours.
As always please feel free to share this with anyone that can benefit from it and comment with any apposing or supportive point of view by clicking the comment link bellow.
To your success till next time.

CAN I BE RICH AND HAPPY?

Good day
Today’s post is about the fallacy that you cannot be both happy and wealthy. The statement that it is a “fallacy” is a statement of fact.
Let’s delve into how this fallacy first develops. Like most people whose parents were employees, when I was growing up I took on odd jobs through high school and college. In addition to being a waiter and working at McDonald, I worked for some private people, many of whom were extremely wealthy. What I noticed was that even though they had toys that I wanted, and could do whatever they wanted to whenever they wanted, they were essentially miserable people. And I have to mention that, there were some very few exceptions which I supposed kept the hope alive.
In addition looking at the media, the idea that the richer you get the more trouble you have only reinforced the fallacy, because as we all know the media looks for misery to sell their air time. But the question remains why are so many people who are really wealthy are also the most unhappy people in the world?
Let’s also look at the other side of the equation. People who know me well, know that for a while before medical school I had lost my faith, and thought that I was put on this earth for pure comic relief. That all changed when I went to St. Maartin to study my basic sciences. While I was there, I interacted with the some of the happiest individuals I have met in my life who at the same time were also the poorest people from the financial standpoint.
Do you have to be financially disadvantage to be happy? Does money bring with it unhappiness? The answer to both is A RESOUNDING NO.
To make my point I am going to consider two hypothetical people and analyses their thought patterns from the point of view of The Law of Attraction.
Character 1: A Buddhist Monk who has taken a vow of poverty.
Character 2: A multimillionaire owner of a large business corporation.
The thought patterns of Character 1 is all about piece and joy. Very little matters in terms of daily problems. He knows the fact that no matter what happens he has a choice about what reaction he shows to events. Because his discipline teaches tolerance and love for everything, positive thinking is in his innate nature. No matter what, his discipline has taught him to be happy and loving. There is nothing more powerful than love from the standpoint of vibrational energy when it comes to using The Law of Attraction. There is no option to feel and react badly to external events. Whatever happens a monk is trained to see the good in everything. There is always a silver lining. There is a deeper meaning to everything. That does not come from a place of suffering. It is a genuine belief that all is good. That everything from the source is abundant and good.
The thought patterns of Character 2 by contrast, usually comes from a place of competition.  The thought pattern is that of “for me to have, someone else must lack”. There is frequently the feeling of distrust. As a person becomes more and more successful in the competitive field, they feel that people are coming for them. There is always someone who is coming after the best to knock them off their perch. That feeling gets bigger and bigger the more successful one becomes in the competitive plane. So stress increases as more and more success comes. The feelings of loving ones work give way to just beating the competition and what usually gets the person to succeed gives way to negative thinking, and fear of loss.
REALITY CHECK:
Life the way the source intended for humans, is not competition.  If you have not read the blog post on competition please check it out here:blog post on Competition
In reality there is an abundance of everything and once you realize that, the need for competition disappears and so does the stress of I have to win so someone else has to loose. When there is no looser the negativity and guilt about success goes away. The thought patterns deep inside us has to come from a place of love and positivity. As long as our thoughts bring with them fear, and possibility of loss the ensuing feelings are? You Guessed it unhappy.
One of the great things I like about the teaching of(Abraham) Jerry and Esther Hicks, is the simplicity of using your feelings to tell you if you are in tune with the vibration of the Law of Attraction. If you are doing something and the success of it is making you feel uneasy or bad then there has to be another way to gain that success and feel good. It is hard from a business perspective to think this way at first. Every major sales training I have had with any company has only taught the fundamentals of sales in building rapport and selling value, and knowing my competition. None has gone into the psychology of how to be a winner from the stand point of using the Law of Attraction.
When one realizes that success begins in the mind. When seeing success, and visualizing success becomes a second nature thing, then the rest naturally fall into place. As I discussed in last week’s post however, mental work is the hardest form of training. So it takes concentration and persistence to make it routine.
I hope you now realize that if character 2 uses the Law of Attraction’s rules of the game (because after all The Law of Attraction is a universal law and it is completely objective), and follow the good feelings in addition to all the skills that it took him to be a success, he can be happy as well as enjoy financial success. When you realize that there is plenty for everyone, and you are not really in competition with anyone, the fear, doubt, and distrust melts away.  Here I HAVE TO GIVE YOU A WARNING. If you are hard wired through years and years of education that success can only come from competition, that is YOUR TRUTH AND YOUR REALITY. Nothing I, or any other person tells you, and no  amount of research and study will bring you happiness.  You will attract proof to let you know you are right and you will attract circumstances to prove to you that you are right. You have to want to and take steps to change your  thought patterns to see the results. Those thoughts have to start with the fact that you can be happy and successful at the same time. This universe does nothing with scarcity. There is plenty of opportunities for everyone. Your thoughts are your reality and EVERYTHING THAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE IS THE RESULTS OF YOUR PREVIOUS THOUGHTS. Good news is that you can change them NOW.
I hope you find this valuable and educational. I encourage you to comment with your thoughts by clicking the comment link so we can benefit from other thoughts and viewpoints.  I do not sensor any comments as long as they are respectful and educational.  As always please feel free to share this with anyone you think may benefit from it.
